Baseball Recap: Lorain Takes a Loss

Lorain lost to Shaker Heights on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Titans took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lorain saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Walmalier Maldonado, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Ethan Leyva was another, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Lorain's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14-1. As for Shaker Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lorain is set to take on their familiar foe Strongsville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Shaker Heights will face off against rival Mentor at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
