Basketball Recap: ELIZABETH EVANS's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Block Island over Davies Career & Tech

If Block Island was riding high fresh off their 48-16 takedown of Achievement First Providence last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The match between Block Island and the Davies Career & Tech Patriots didn't end well, with Block Island falling 50-32. Block Island has struggled against Davies Career & Tech recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Block Island lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being ELIZABETH EVANS, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. EVANS is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. ABIGAIL WILLI was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Block Island's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Davies Career & Tech, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Block Island has already played their next game, a 53-20 defeat against Central Falls/Blackstone Valley Prep on the 8th. As for Davies Career & Tech, they will head out to face off against Providence Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
