Basketball Preview: Kress Kangaroos vs. Hart Longhorns
Kress is 2-8 against the Longhorns since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Kress Kangaroos will head out on the road to square off against the Hart Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Kress focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Kress, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-45 loss to the Cowboys. Kress has not had much luck with the Cowboys recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Kress had strong showings from Landon Gilles, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Dillon Morphis, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-40, which was the final score in Hart's tilt against the Wolverines on Friday.
Kress has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Hart, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Kress came up short against the Longhorns in their previous meeting back in January, falling 51-41. Can Kress avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
