Volleyball Recap: Beachwood's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Beachwood came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Andrews Osborne Academy Phoenix. This was payback for the Bison, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Beachwood had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-22.

Riley Dodds paced Beachwood's offense, picking up ten kills. Dodds got some help from Casie B and her 15 assists.

Despite the loss, Andrews Osborne Academy still got an impressive performance from Iris Parker, who had ten digs and four aces. Parker is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Beachwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Looking ahead, Beachwood will square off against Richmond Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bison are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Andrews Osborne Academy, they will challenge Wickliffe at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
