Basketball Recap: Nine Straight Home Victories for Manchester

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Manchester had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-25 victory over the Highland Springs Springers. The win was familiar territory for the Lancers, who have now won five contests in a row.

Manchester's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rayne Wright, who posted 12 points along with eight steals and seven boards. Wright is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed five or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Smith, who had nine points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks.
