Volleyball Preview: Palmer Terrors vs. Coronado Cougars
The Palmer Terrors will take on the Coronado Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Palmer is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Canon City just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Tigers.
While Palmer was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-18.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Coronado challenged Harrison on Thursday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory.
Coronado walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-12.
Palmer's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-6. As for Coronado, their victory ended a six-match drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12.
