Baseball Recap: Gibson County Takes a Loss

The Gibson County Pioneers came up short against the Lenoir City Panthers on Thursday and fell 7-4. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gibson County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Toon, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Gibson County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Lenoir City, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12.

Looking ahead, Gibson County will take on Peabody at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lenoir City, they will square off against Sweetwater at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
