Basketball Recap: Horizon Science Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Christian Community

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Horizon Science Academy). They walked away with a 74-65 victory over the Christian Community Warriors on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for Horizon Science Academy: when they faced off against Christian Community two weeks ago, they had to take a 73-53 defeat.

Horizon Science Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rodney Osorio led the charge by putting up 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laval Stevens, who posted 18 points.

Horizon Science Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Christian Community, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Horizon Science Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 85-70 loss against the Dragons on the 10th. As for Christian Community, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-45 victory against First Baptist Christian on the 6th.
