Volleyball Recap: Edison Private Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Edison Private was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Cushman Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-14, 20-25, 25-15.

Leading Cushman to victory were Kelly Lopez and Martina Mouawad. Lopez had 20 assists and seven aces, while Mouawad had six digs and six aces. That's the most assists Lopez has posted since September 2nd. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica Iacoban, who had five digs and four aces.

Edison Private's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Cushman, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Edison Private wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Greater Miami Academy on the 29th. As for Cushman, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Leonard on the 26th.
