Football Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short

Wilson and Marshall pushed the score to 59-20 the last time they played Marshall, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Mules lost 23-0 to the Barristers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mules have suffered against the Barristers since October 13, 2017.

Joseph Arias threw for 96 yards on seven of 16 attempts. Alberto Hernandez was his top target, picking up 42 receiving yards. On the ground, Adrian Anaya rushed for 40 yards.

Nathaniel Cadet was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 47 yards and one score, and also threw for 74 yards and one TD. Those 47 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Wilson is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7. As for Marshall, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-3.

Wilson has already played their next contest, a 42-14 victory against Rancho Dominguez on the 7th. As for Marshall, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 36-20 win against Bernstein on the 8th.
