Recap: Jackson Memorial Jaguars vs. Red Bank Catholic Caseys
The Jackson Memorial Jaguars won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 84-38 loss at the hands of Red Bank Catholic. Jackson Memorial was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-19.
Red Bank Catholic was led to victory by Tessa Carman and Addy Nyemchek. Carman dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Nyemchek scored 20 points along with three steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nyemchek has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Christina Liggio, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Jackson Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Red Bank Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.
Jackson Memorial and Freehold Township will face off on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Red Bank Catholic, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Life Center Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 22nd.
