Male skates past Great Crossing with ease

Recap: Male Bulldogs vs. Great Crossing

The Male Bulldogs had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.6 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They blew past Great Crossing, posting a 49-15 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Male, who have now won eight matches by 31 points or more so far this season.

Male's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kolter Smith, who threw for 313 yards and six touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Gainey, who picked up 151 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Male's win was their 12th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.92 points. As for Great Crossing, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Male will be playing at home against Fern Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fern Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Male is ranked second). Great Crossing does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
