Softball Recap: Taft Comes Up Short

Taft's last matchup with Odem could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Tuesday. The Greyhounds came up short against the Owls, falling 15-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Greyhounds have suffered since March 7th.

Taft saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josette Aparicio, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Aaliyah Alvarado also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Taft is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-11. As for Odem, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-14.

Looking ahead, Taft will challenge San Diego at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Odem, they will take on Bishop at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Badgers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Owls surely won't give up without a fight.
