Dowling Catholic is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Elkhorn North. The Maroons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The Maroons just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

While Dowling Catholic was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22.

Dowling Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Elkhorn North, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
