Volleyball Recap: Spring Woods' Run of Seven Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but Spring Woods unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Madison Marlins by a score of 3-2. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Marlins earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Spring Woods actually scored more points across those five sets (107-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-22, 23-25, 10-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Spring Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 22-12. As for Madison, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Spring Woods is set to take on their familiar foe Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Madison will face off against rival Waltrip at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
