Preview: Fullington Academy Trojans vs. Crisp Academy Wildcats
Fullington Academy and Crisp Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Fullington Academy Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Crisp Academy Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fullington Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Fullington Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-49 to Southwest Georgia Academy. Fullington Academy has struggled against Southwest Georgia Academy recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Crisp Academy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 82-43 defeat at the hands of Westwood. Crisp Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Wilk Stephens, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Reese Reed was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Fullington Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Crisp Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Fullington Academy against Crisp Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 68-30 win. Does Fullington Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Crisp Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
