The Ramapo Raiders will face off against the Wayne Valley Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Friday, Ramapo was fully in charge, breezing past Passaic County Tech 41-7. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won four contests by 34 points or more so far this season.

Ramapo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Casey Grusser led the charge by throwing for 323 yards and four TDs while completing 80% of his passes. That's the most passing yards Grusser has posted since back in November of 2024. Liam Hayward helped Grusser out on the ground, rushing for 94 yards and a pair of scores, while also picking up 60 receiving yards.
Ramapo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jack Schneider. Schneider is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Wayne Valley faced Wayne Hills in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Patriots 34-31. The victory was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won four matchups in a row.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Elizer Estevez and ETHAN ZACHARSKI. Estevez had a great game and rushed for 138 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Meanwhile, ZACHARSKI was balling out in the loss, rushing for 150 yards while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 45 receiving yards and one TD.
Wayne Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Ramapo, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Ramapo has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 379.8 total yards per game. However, it's not like Wayne Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 355.8 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Ramapo strolled past Wayne Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 45-29. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
