Softball Recap: Galesburg-Augusta Comes Up Short

Galesburg-Augusta came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Homer Trojans, falling 15-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.

Galesburg-Augusta dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Homer, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Coming up, Homer will face off against Constantine at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Galesburg-Augusta will be paying especially close attention to the Trojans' match: after the Trojans face off against the Falcons, they'll take on Galesburg-Augusta again at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
