It was a good run, but Porter unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 36-35 to the Kingwood Park Panthers. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 32-29.

Porter now has a losing record at 15-16. As for Kingwood Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Porter will head out to challenge Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Porter is facing Pasadena at the right time seeing as Pasadena is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Kingwood Park, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Kingwood Park Panthers challenge the Splendora Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kingwood Park is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
