Softball Recap: Paso Robles Comes Up Short

Paso Robles came into this matchup off a tough nine-run defeat last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Pioneer Valley Panthers by a score of 15-13 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Kylee Nancolas was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Madison Paz, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Paso Robles' defeat dropped their record down to 10-13-1. As for Pioneer Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.
