Soccer Recap: Obion County Comes Up Short

Obion County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the South Gibson Hornets, falling 6-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Obion County of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Obion County's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for South Gibson, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

When Obion County and South Gibson next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Rebels will square off against Crockett County and their six-game winning streak at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, South Gibson will try to stop Lausanne Collegiate's five-game winning streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
