Volleyball Game Preview: Old Fort Stockaders vs. Danbury Lakers

The Old Fort Stockaders are taking a road trip to take on the Danbury Lakers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Old Fort will head out to face Danbury after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. The Stockaders came up short against Calvert, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Stockaders have suffered since August 28th.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-11, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Danbury came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Panthers as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Danbury not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept St. Mary Central Catholic to exactly 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-17.

Danbury's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Old Fort, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.

Everything went Old Fort's way against Danbury in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Old Fort made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stockaders since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
