Football Recap: Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman Falls Despite Big Games from Alex Wade and William Runyan

Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-6. They fell 29-20 to the Momence Momence Athletics. The Buffaloes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Momence Athletics from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman had strong showings from William Runyan, who picked up 124 receiving yards and one TD, and Alex Wade, who rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 77 yards.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Runyan picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

As for Momence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.5 points over those games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Momence to victory, but perhaps none more so than Erick Castillo, who threw for 321 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 117 yards. Those 117 rushing yards gave Castillo a new career-high. Momence's leading receiver Jayden Dau was Castillo's top target yet again, picking up 158 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

As of now, neither Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman nor the Momence Athletics have any future games scheduled.
