Baseball Recap: L'Anse Creuse North Find Success

L'Anse Creuse North owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Utica Eisenhower Eagles, sneaking past 2-0. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

L'Anse Creuse North got a great performance from Jackson Choike as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Choike a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, L'Anse Creuse North's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Colton Agee, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those two hits gave Agee a new career-high.

L'Anse Creuse North has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. L'Anse Creuse North will take on Notre Dame Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Utica Eisenhower, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Utica at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
