Basketball Recap: Harlem Bulldogs vs. Curtis Baptist Crusaders
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Savannah, Harlem was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 78-52 margin over the Curtis Baptist Crusaders.
Horatio Shaffer III had an outrageously good game as he went 5 for 7 en route to 11 points plus five assists and two steals. Jayden Futrell was another key player, going 5 for 7 en route to 10 points.
Harlem was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.
Harlem's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Curtis Baptist, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Harlem will take on Academy of Richmond County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Curtis Baptist, they and South Aiken Baptist Christian are set to duel on Tuesday.
