Soccer Recap: Cottonwood Comes Up Short

Cottonwood fought the good fight in their overtime game against Cyprus on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-2. Cottonwood's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Cottonwood's record is now 1-8. As for Cyprus, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Cottonwood will face off against Layton Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Layton Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cottonwood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cyprus, they will be playing at home against Taylorsville at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
