Baseball Game Preview: Sky View Bobcats vs. Timpview Thunderbirds

The Sky View Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the Timpview Thunderbirds at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Sky View comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Sky View is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 17-5 to Northridge on Saturday.

Chance Christensen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Cash Howell also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Timpview came up short against South Summit on Wednesday and fell 7-2.

Beckham Woodward was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits.

At the plate, Tyler Weed was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. Jordan Christensen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-1.

Even though they lost, Timpview hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Summit struck out six times.

Sky View's record is now 0-4. As for Timpview, their record now sits at 1-1.
