Owen Redd Dazzles in Edmund Burke Academy Win

Starting off the list is Edmund Burke Academy's Owen Redd, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Redd rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 94 yards.

Edmund Burke Academy pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Redd and Edmund Burke Academy will face off against Gatewood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Mosley Made His Presence Known in Briarwood Academy's 29-6 Victory

Charlie Mosley posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 196 yards and a touchdown. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he posted at least 144 rushing yards in the third games prior.

If history really does repeat itself, Mosley might just drop another big game when he faces off against Thomas Jefferson Academy on Friday. Back in August of 2023 (the last time Mosley saw the Jaguars), he rushed for 188 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown.

Aden Hickman Makes It Two for Edmund Burke Academy

Another Edmund Burke Academy player making an appearance on this list is Aden Hickman. He rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

On the season, Hickman has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 109 rushing yards per game.

Mason Poss Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Briarwood Academy picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Mason Poss. Poss showed up in a big way, rushing for 128 yards and a touchdown. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (103.2) per game. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.

This season, Poss has averaged 37.4 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had two rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to five.

Mason Sinclair Goes Supernova in Gatewood Loss

Rounding off our Top Five is Mason Sinclair of Gatewood. Sinclair made 22 total tackles.

With the defeat, Gatewood broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3. Sinclair and Gatewood will challenge Edmund Burke Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
