Soccer Recap: Laurel Comes Up Short

Laurel fought the good fight in their overtime match against Gautier on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Gautier Gators by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Tornadoes in their matchups with the Gators: they've now lost four in a row.

Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Gautier, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Laurel will face off against Wayne County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Laurel is facing Wayne County at the right time seeing as Wayne County is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Gautier, they will head out to square off against Vancleave at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
