Basketball Recap: Taos Gets the Win

On Thursday, the Taos Tigers beat the Valley Vikings 64-52. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Despite the loss, Valley still got an impressive performance from Carter Monroe, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Abeyta-Jefferson, who posted seven points along with six assists and three steals.

Taos' victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Valley, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4.

Taos has already played their next contest, a 55-52 loss against Gallup on the 3rd. As for Valley, they will venture away from home to square off against Cibola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season.
