Softball Recap: Cypress Lakes Takes a Loss

Cypress Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Langham Creek Lobos, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lobos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Cypress Lakes saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Davila, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Cypress Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Langham Creek, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cypress Lakes will take on rival Cypress Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Langham Creek is set to face off against their familiar foe Cypress Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lobos 1.5, the Mustangs 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
