Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for Eastern Alamance, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with an 8-4 win over Cedar Ridge on Monday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Fighting Red Wolves recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Delani Straughan spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Edie Stewart was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Rachel Byrd was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
The win got Eastern Alamance back to even at 2-2. As for Person, their record now sits at 2-0.
