Lakewood kept up with Golden until halftime on Saturday, but afterwards: not so much. The Demons blew past the Tigers 27-7. The result was nothing new for the Demons, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

The critical scores for Golden came from Brook Grigel, Ashlyn Bates, Aly Kent, and Kenley Johnson.

Golden's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged six passes before it was all said and done. Bates was the real danger to the passing game, picking up three interceptions all by herself. Grigel got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Golden has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.1 points on average over those games. As for Lakewood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
