Recap: Hickory Red Tornadoes vs. Bunker Hill Bears
The Hickory Red Tornadoes put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Bunker Hill on the road to the tune of 82-47. Hickory's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Hickory's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamien Little, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Little has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Krenzel, who scored 14 points.
Hickory's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Bunker Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
Hickory won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Newton-Conover at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Newton-Conover will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Hickory is ranked 36th). As for Bunker Hill, they will look to defend their home court on January 5, 2024 against West Caldwell at 8:00 p.m. West Caldwell has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 595 points over their last eight matchups.
