Volleyball Game Preview: Habersham Central Raiders vs. Johns Creek Gladiators

The Habersham Central Raiders will face off against the Johns Creek Gladiators on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Habersham Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Effingham County 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since September 25th.

Habersham Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 16-25, 25-22, 25-15, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Johns Creek entered their tilt with Chamblee on Wednesday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They blew past the Bulldogs 3-0.

Johns Creek was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-18, 25-18.

Johns Creek's win bumped their record up to 22-9. As for Habersham Central, their victory bumped their record up to 27-9.

Habersham Central couldn't quite get it done against Johns Creek in their previous meeting back in September of 2015 as they fell 2-0. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
