Soccer Game Preview: Great Bend vs. Hesston

Great Bend is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Hesston a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Great Bend Panthers will host the Hesston Swathers at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Great Bend turned things around against West on Thursday. Neither they nor the Pioneers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Great Bend's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Hesston came up short against Hays on Saturday, falling 8-1. Hesston were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-1.

Great Bend's draw gives them a new season record of 2-7-1. As for Hesston, they now have a losing record of 5-6-1.
