After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manual, DSST: Green Valley Ranch was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They snuck past the Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls with a 35-31 victory. For the Raptors, this counts as revenge for the 56-23 win the Ocelotls walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gabby Gordon led the charge by putting up five points and 20 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Janice Sor, who posted eight points in addition to eight steals and seven boards.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 2-13. As for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 58-20 defeat against Denver West on the 7th. As for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 27-25 loss against DMLK on the 7th.
