Football Recap: Fallbrook Warriors vs. Westview Wolverines
Fallbrook lost against Westview back in August of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors took a 50-32 bruising from the Wolverines.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Harrison Jones, who rushed for 44 yards and one score.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matthew Guimond, who threw for 445 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 81.5% of his passes. Guimond's passing game has become a key predictor of the Wolverines' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-4 otherwise. Westview's leading receiver Kyler Brown was Guimond's top target yet again, picking up 220 receiving yards and three TDs.
Fallbrook's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Westview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
