Basketball Recap: Princeville Takes a Loss

Princeville lost against Wethersfield back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Princeville Princes took a blow against the Wethersfield Flying Geese, falling 75-37. While losing is never fun, the Princes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 308th, while the Flying Geese are ranked 104th).

Princeville's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Wethersfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

Princeville will challenge Stark County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Princeville is facing Stark County at the right time seeing as Stark County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Wethersfield, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Monmouth-Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Wethersfield comes in on eight and Monmouth-Roseville on three.
