Soccer Recap: Crete-Monee Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Crete-Monee's offense. They came up short against Westinghouse on Saturday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Crete-Monee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while Westinghouse is ranked 55th).

This is the second loss in a row for Crete-Monee and nudges their season record down to 2-9. As for Westinghouse, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Crete-Monee has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South on the 14th. As for Westinghouse, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Victoria Soto on the 14th.
