Recap: Hoover Vikings vs. McKinley Bulldogs
The Hoover Vikings were the 58-42 winner over the McKinley Bulldogs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Hoover fell just short of McKinley by a score of 46-43.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan Ash, who scored eight points along with six rebounds. Crew Cain was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for McKinley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoover will take on Jackson at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 209 points over their last three games. McKinley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dover at 6:45 p.m. on December 9th. Dover presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than McKinley in Ohio (Dover is ranked 17th, while McKinley is ranked 70th).
