Baseball Recap: Eastview Lightning vs. Burnsville Blaze

After losing to Burnsville the last time they met, Eastview decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lightning came out on top against the Blaze by a score of 7-3 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lightning.

Devon Ackerman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ben Schmitz was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Schroeder, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
