Softball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord lost to Northwest Cabarrus on April 8th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Spiders fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 11-10. The Spiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McKinley Williams stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Peyton Aagaard was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Concord nor Northwest Cabarrus have any future games scheduled.
