Baseball Game Preview: Kaiser Cats vs. Charter Oak Chargers

The Kaiser Cats will be taking part in a tournament against the Charter Oak Chargers at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Kaiser saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 6-1 to Damien.

Kaiser saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Alexander Chavez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Charter Oak, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over La Serna on Saturday.

Brian Aceves tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only a hit over 4.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-low in hits.

At the plate, Charter Oak let Michael Zubia and Vincent Carrillo run wild. Zubia scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Carrillo scored a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Zubia a new career-high in hits (two).

Kaiser now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Charter Oak, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
