Volleyball Recap: Waldron Takes a Loss

Waldron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Southwestern Spartans. The Mohawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Waldron still got an impressive performance from Emerson Lindsey, who had 23 digs. With that strong performance, Lindsey is now averaging an impressive 11.4 digs per game. Maleah Williams was another key player, getting nine kills, seven aces, three digs, and two blocks.

Waldron's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Southwestern, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Waldron has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Eminence on the 11th. As for Southwestern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against South Decatur on the 11th.
