Softball Recap: Southwest Trojans vs. Spokane Owls
Southwest can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They blew past the Spokane Owls 12-4. The victory was just what Southwest needed coming off of a 16-0 loss in their prior match.
For Spokane's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callie Terrell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Southwest's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Spokane, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwest will challenge Verona at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Verona is coming into the matchup with three straight defeats at home, meaning Southwest will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Spokane, they will head out on the road to take on Galena at 5:00 p.m. in their first game on Tuesday.
