Schley County is 6-1 against Central since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Schley County is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Taylor County just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Friday. They took a 36-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings.

Blake Weldon put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 54 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 129 yards on 16 of 26 attempts.

Meanwhile, Central had to suffer through a 40-8 loss at the hands of Taylor County.

Schley County's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Schley County against Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 34-0 victory. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
