Basketball Recap: Walnut Ridge Comes Up Short

Walnut Ridge had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 101-88 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aiken Falcons on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scots of the 85-77 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Aiken has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Walnut Ridge is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Upper Arlington at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Aiken, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Lima Senior at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
