Football Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Foothill's offense. They were outmatched by the Tustin Tillers and fell 44-0. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Tillers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tustin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ayden Edwards, who threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes. Those 247 passing yards gave Edwards a new career-high. Elijah Robinson helped Edwards out on the ground, picking up 45 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 45 yards.

Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Tustin, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foothill will square off against Norte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tustin, they will challenge Long Beach Poly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
