Baseball Game Preview: Plainfield Panthers vs. Wheeler Lions

The Plainfield Panthers will challenge the Wheeler Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Plainfield turned things around against Lyman Memorial on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 6-5.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wheeler, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against Putnam on Monday as they made off with an 11-2 victory. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Clippers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Wheeler now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Plainfield, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Plainfield couldn't quite finish off Wheeler in their previous meeting back in April and fell 5-3. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
